Sometimes you find gold in your own back yard – all you have to do is go out and look for it.
These were taken at the nearest piece of undeveloped land. I haven’t practiced landscape photography a lot but with light like this and a helping hand from the powerful new features of Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 4 it’s hard to miss.
It’s funny how disappointed I was of myself when I first imported the images and saw the result from the evening, compared to how satisfied I am with the final images. I hope you like them as much as I do!
It’s when I finish small photographic projects like this one I really feel like my technique is improving. There’s still a long way to go on the 10.000-hours it takes to master a skill, but it’s times like this the journey is worth while.
